On Tuesday, September 24th, 2013, USA Today published an article entitled, ""Iran president ready to engage immediately in nuke talks". The article discusses the newly installed president of Iran, Hasan Rouhani's plan to discuss their nuclear program. Hasan Rouhani stated that Iran is ready to work with "responsible parties" and Tehran looks to resolve issues about its nuclear portfolio peacefully and with "full transparency".
I feel this article is worth reading because it faces an issue everyone has seemed to be worried about for several years now. Nuclear weapons have been a big concern in the eyes of the American public because not only are they extremely dangerous, but also there is so much mystery behind them. It seems every country has threatened to have nuclear weapons these days and the American people are quite uncomfortable with the idea that a nuclear war could start any minute. This article explains that Iran is willing to discuss nuclear weapons peacefully with America and that should calm down the American public some.
